Taking cues from the confident yet understated architecture of ADA Toorak by Paul Conrad Architects, Mineral Alchemy is a study in poised restraint. Entrusted with the curation of the furniture, art and object selections, Homeroom Studio articulated a clear narrative of subtle sophistication – where each piece resonates with the design’s nuanced harmony between tone and texture. Metallic accents cut through a curated palette of rich timber and bold travertine details, delicately balanced with supple leathers and plush velvet textiles.

Layered atop the silken, opulent rug anchoring the main living space, a perforated nest of tables in sculpted of aged bronze introduces a disciplined tension between softness and strength. A dynamic contrast between the monolithic stone legs of the custom dining table and slender chairs is further heightened by the evocative pendant overhead.

Every vignette throughout the home, has been artfully composed of artisanal pieces from both local and international craftsman to conjure a seamless balance of texture, light and materiality – creating moments that invite quiet reflection and subtle discovery. The essence of Mineral Alchemy lies in a harmonious interplay achieved through deliberate dichotomy.
